There was serious damp in the below ground wall of this cob and stone house due to tanking and an impermeable plaster. We opened up the existing 1960’s fireplace to reveal the original and restored this using hydraulic lime mortar, reclaimed brick hearth, a reclaimed timber lintel and a hydraulic lime plaster.
